A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit UPFAD – Unlimited Possibilities For All Disabilities, LLC, a Social Enterprise founded by Carter that focuses on families with adults, seniors, and children with disabilities, as well as veterans with disabilities. UPFAD curates family-friendly disability-focused resources and entertainment-based events and festivals such as the annual All Disabilities Festival. Established to promote the importance of mental, physical, and cultural diversity, this festival showcases the talents and creative artistic abilities of our incredible disabled community. We advocate the importance of lifelong learning and education while empowering our community to be as self-sufficient as possible by providing access to information and community resources. Through our events, we provide fun interactive, and entertaining experiences that cultivate community alliances, networks, and strong relationships.
